Celebrate Social Media Day on June 30
June 28th, 2010 | events

Mashable has proclaimed Wednesday June 30, 2010 as Social Media Day. “Why?” You ask. “Why not!” I say. They are calling it a day to celebrate the revolution of media becoming a social dialogue. Who am I to argue? To celebrate, they’ve planned meetups all over the world. Mashable knows how to party.
If there’s one thing I love more than made-up holidays, it’s an excuse to connect with other social media enthusiasts IRL. So I’ve thrown my hat in the ring to coordinate the official Twin Cities meetup.
Sign up to join me at Chino Latino in Minneapolis on 6/30 beginning at 6:30pm. We’ll have a cash bar, free munchies (graciously provided by Chino Latino), and our own private room with patio seating. I’ll be spinning some tunes as well. Let’s show the world that the Twin Cities knows how to party too!
