But Comic Sans gives that personal "I care about you" touch to "Bridge Out Ahead", don't you think?

Look at it this way: as long as there are people making horrible design decisions it just validates the good stuff all the more.

I am always learning from you. So many highlights here, I think my current favorite is "Now sadly this phenomenon is on the move, expanding across the country like a virus. A spindly, unbalanced, sarcastically casual virus." I need that on a coffee mug. Really well prepared and presented.

Thanks, Bryan. Helvetica is still on my list to watch. I'm guessing it wasn't a laugh riot then?

Very funny, Mykl! I wish that recent movie about Helvetica (yes, I actually rented it) was as interesting as your presentation.

Thanks! I actually am in complete agreement with you. Most of these fonts aren't "bad" in and of themselves, just misused. I do stumble upon appropriate use now and then. Although it's getting more rare. Besides, absolutes are just funnier, don't you think?

I love the "Jesus wouldn't use this font" line.. while most of those fonts are on the scary retched side.. I can see how there might be instances for, well a couple of them anyway, that might be appropriate... or, maybe I'm just temperamentally ill-disposed to absolutes?
