Mike Gunderloy at Web Worker Daily just posted 4 Branding Lessons from Wall Drug combining two subjects close to my heart — branding and the kitsch mecca of the South Dakota prairie.
Ever since my first visit to Wall Drug, I’ve known it was a special place (I even run a Flickr group about it). I don’t if it was the hundreds of miles of anticipatory signage, the eclectic merchandise, five-cent cups of coffee, bizarre attractions or the famous free ice water, but I was transformed from a customer to an evangelist on the spot.
Mike has captured the essence of the Hustead family business philosophy (like having a simple, consistent, actionable message) and cleverly shown us how to apply it to our own personal branding.
